We reduce the use of raw materials, energy and supplies by only using necessary materials, sourcing suppliers with similar environmental standards and using recyclable packaging. We recycle and reuse waste.

Social Responsibility

To support local charities and sponsor local events. To buy locally if possible, to reduce fuel emissions.

Sustainability Development

Consider the life of art works and designing them to be as sustainable as possible. Anticipate changes and making adjustments before they become legislation.

Environmental Policy

Products

Products are sourced for environmental impact. Art works are produced by professional printers who have an environmental policy in place. Frames have glass glazing, or clear view glass. Mounts are acid-free card mounts.

Equipment

LED bulbs and small portable location/studio lights LED use less electricity and have a longer life. They also come in varying tones, cool, natural and warm, which compliment exhibiting photographs and capturing images.

Empty ink tanks are mainly recycled through cartridge recycle companies.

Packaging

Packaging is sourced for environmental impact. Boxes, tubes and crates are biodegradable. Cellophane is wood based and also biodegradable. Occasionally we use bubble wrap, this is mainly recycled from wrapping of frames and mounts that have been delivered to us. We then cut and make sure it is in perfect condition before using.

Mileage/Travel

Janice Clements plans her routes carefully to omit the least amount of pollutants. If she is exhibiting somewhere, have an event to attend or a commission, she will incorporate her landscape photography around those dates to prevent extra journeys and emissions.

Waste Disposal

Empty ink tanks are recycled by using cartridge recycling companies where possible. Packaging from delivery of supplies is either re-used, or recycled in the local recycling centre. Old bulbs are recycled.
