Portraits, Christmas and Holme Photographs

A walk at Holme beach was a breath of fresh air on a beautiful September morning. I could count the people I saw on one hand, the sun was shining, a slight cool breeze from the sea and lots of birds on the shoreline. I'm still not good with naming birds but the Oyster Catchers were obvious along with the cormorants and the others were beautiful to photograph, so it doesn't really matter to me the names, although I know I have been told to learn them by my more bird knowledgeable friends. The sand seemed endless to the cliffs of Hunstanton and a few distant kite surfers and wind surfers were visible in the waves. A lovely natural beach, where as I started my return, I started talking to a lone walker who described how they believed the sand had shifted and changed over the past years, pointing out areas that are now grasses and marshland which used to be sand.
